How to Enable Base Templates on an Email Template

An exception to the base template is if a compliance approval threshold is set. For example, the template must be approved if the recipient list is over 500. 

Base templates allow for users to edit the approved blank template and resend the email without it requiring approval. This means a user no longer needs to recreate an approved blank template from scratch. 

  1. On the left navigation, click Email Marketing > Emails
  2. Create a new template or edit an existing email template. Click HERE to learn how. 
  3. On the left side of the page, scroll down to the Sections header. 
  4. Check the Base Email box. 
  5. At the top of the page, click Save Email
